About John McIntyre Racing

JMR Racing Crew

JMR was formed in 2006 to Win the NZ Touring Car Championship and promote Owner/Driver John McIntyre’s driving career. The Team quickly established itself as a front running professional outfit, Winning the 2006/07 NZV8 Touring Car Championship on debut. Victories in 2007/08 and 2010/11 took the teams tally to three Premier NZ National Championships.

During this period John McIntyre Co-Drove in the V8 Supercars Championship with Teams such as Stone Brothers Racing and FPR. Highlights included a 2nd and 3rd at the Gold Coast 300 in 2010, 5th at the Phillip Island 500 and 6th at the Bathurst 1000 all with Shane van Gisbergen in 2011.

Back in NZ, JMR moved up to the V8 Supertourer Championship, Winning the Sprint Series and finishing 3rd in the Overall Series in 2012. As Endurance Racing continued to grow in NZ and Internationally John McIntyre has raced in Porsches, Ferrari and the awesome Reiter GT3 Camaro. Highlights include Racing at the Bathurst 12 Hour in the Ferrari 458 GT3 and Winning the NZ 3-Hour Endurance Championship with Inky Tulloch in 2016.

Currently John McIntyre races with Carlyle Performance and Owner/Driver Anthony Leighs in the all-mighty Nissan GTR Godzilla GT3.
